things are looking up. the past two years were pretty fucked. im very excited. i also kind of feel like morgan freeman in shawshank when he gets out of jail and doesnt know what to do with himself.

trio of good news:

-i got a full time job that i actually wanted and that will actually pay me
-i am going to be my friends maid of honor
-i dont have AIDS

2:23 am - wondering
my gums havent been bleeding nearly at all recently. at least not nearly as much as they used to. since i havent changed my oral hygiene much at all im wondering, is this a sign that my teeth are improving or that i have finally turned to stone.

also, pantera's "by demons be driven" ? the chorus bothers me. it's tone deaf judas priest breaking the law.

sleep.

8:17 pm - possible responses to my previous thoughts
i did ride my bike. at night theres less cars and less brown/yellow delivery bikers. but there are more invisible giant craters to avoid or bump over while worrying over breaking my nose a third time. then i bought a pack of cigarettes as to not confuse my body by the little exercise i put into it.

i actually havent been as lazy as i could be recently. ive done alot of things. i would prove it to you but im tired from riding my bike.

another thought: how bald am i going?

6:39 pm - some of my thoughts. at this moment and partially always.
how lazy am i, really? sometimes i truly do nothing all day. when i do accomplish something* i usually had very little desire to actually do it in the first place.

i wonder if i did fracture my friends rib when i beat him down on the street in front of my building or if he is just saying so to guilt me.

how closely do i resemble E.T. ?

i should ride my bike now.

i want  websites to cut out the "secret question" portion of registration. after having to add 5zillion numbers to my password so that its deemed secure im really too drained to fill out a q&a about some important event or person in my life that im obviously too slow to remember. what's your moms maiden name? where were you born? what was the name of your first dog? well, i can never remember the correct spelling of my moms fathers name, only that he was a big drunk who slept on the trash cans. i never remember whether i say i was born in "new york" "nyc" "the bronx" "riverdale" or "youll never make enough money to stay here". and the only dog i ever had was my best friends dog and it jumped out the window and died while they were living with me.

so please just cut it out already.

6:59 pm - rose
do any of you remember it being a constant at childhood parties that there would be a fight, whining, or general big-deal made of who got the heinous, pastel sugar rose from the cake?

shits gotten pretty bad and fortunately when shit gets bad those shields that hide the truth break down and you can finally see things clearly.

what im talking about here is that LAMBS ARE KINDA GROSS. baby sheep. are kind of gross. i didnt realize this until last nite. maybe its because im a co-dependent enabler who attracts drunks. only jesus knows. at any rate, im glad there are support systems and resources available for people like me. thanks google image search!

see for yourself. end the charade. eat some merquez sausage.

WHAT THE EFF?

not so much "ugly lamb" as "heather mattarazzo lamb"

5:07 pm - work with hands
baking savory sticky buns using a dough recipe from traditional sticky buns without the sugar. replacing cinnamon sugar filling with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and sundried tomato. also infused a bottle of olive oil with rosemary, thyme and garlic. my dough is rising. its very boring. i want to look at it but feel i shouldn't. ack! ok i just looked. it is rising! i fear it might be rising out of control.

12:51 pm - at the movies
in a bizarre turn of events i found myself at the movies three days in a row. i saw a history of violence by myself on wednesday and got scolded by a fellow viewer bc my cell phone lit up and partially illuminated the theater. i thought his frequent high-pitched Castrati laughter was a bit more criminal particularly since this film was not really funny. at all. i recommend tho!

my friend max and i saw match point on thursday after he refused to see king kong claiming it was against his religion. i don't know much about the tenets of his religion aside from excessive drinking, sexual addiction, and now, a ban on the gorilla movie. i think we both enjoyed match point. "that ending...really threw me. i wasn't expecing that at all. i just wanted to see scarlett johansson's boobs."

last nite i went with my sister to see the pink panther for her birthday. she is a huge steve martin fan. i found myself weak at the knees at the sight of his ridiculous french moustache. i kind of freaked out for a minute when i asked my sister if the pink panther was going to be animated or a person in a costume and she told me it was just a stupid diamond. movie totally redeemed itself for me though. i guess it's not getting the best reviews but everyone in the theater was rolling. movie candy aside: reese's pieces vs pb m&m's....the latter- so much better or am i crazy?

late nite google search:
Your search - did Benson date? - did not match any documents.

late nite text msgs:
-really want to throat gag you
-u have alot more to offer someone than just sex

hmmmmmm

10:34 pm - what would they say....
What would they say if we up and ran away from the roaring crowd
And the worn out city faces would they carry on and on
When they found out we were gone or would they let us go
Would they tag along or would they just
Leave us alone, we´d live in the country
Leave us alone, we´d make it just fine
Happy in a one-room shack and we´d not look back, now would we
What would they do if they found out we were through
With the little lies and the downtown aggravations
That we traded them away for a quiet country day that we had hoped to share
Would they try to find out where we were, or
What would they say if we up and ran away...

9:07 pm - two Snoopies rescued from hurricane need adoption as a PAIR!
this is an animal adoption need i received through my friend, Patti. for some reason when i posted about a pitbull i received overwhelming response, yet these two Snoopies are adorable and i've heard nothing. i'm about ready to do the Peanuts dance on everyone's faces.

Patti is working with TWO FEMALE BEAGLES that were rescued from the hurricane disaster and need to be adopted as a PAIR. here is what she said to me via email:

"These dogs would make WONDERFUL house companions. Sweet, gentle girls. No names - need to be taught to sit, come, etc. - basic obedience- I can work with whomever it is to help with that - but it won't take long for them to catch on. They were probably hunting dogs in New Orleans but were loved to an extent by someone b/c they are very gentle. Very motivated by table food.

Both have had litters so need to be spayed- I would say one is about 1yr and the other 2yrs. Possibly mom and daughter. Very attached to each other so must be adopted together. The dogs are on the upper west side." (nyc)

again, they need to be adopted as a pair and kept as a pair! repost if you wish but please reply only with legitimate interest or leads.

thanks again, guys.

8:26 pm
i just got back from two nites in philly after having returned with annie from our road trip to charleston and savannah. it's insanely hot, even hotter than it was in the insanely hot south. i'm still sweating from walking home from the chinatown bus with 40lbs of luggage because i didn't feel like hailing a cab. the trip was tons of fun but we were limited on time and sort of fell short on seeing enough of the two cities. however, having wanted to go to savannah since i was 19 it was nice just to get there. plus i completely conquered the Sonic menu on this trip, including eating their new Island Fire burger, the largest hamburger i've ever seen in my life. go grossness! i also finally got to the beach and got some sun. now that i'm back in nyc and ready to return to my normal routine i can at least look the part of someone who leaves the house before 10 at nite.

4:29 pm - sweating, raging
yesterday i got a tooth yanked out of my mouth at the nyu dental school. i was in total agony so i took a vicodine and occupied myself with cooking all the pork products i had in my freezer and unclogging the bathroom sink and toilet.

today i had a lovely lunch at Dos Caminos with my mom because she's working the summer at her old ad agency on that block. i had yellow tomato gaspacho and then we shared chocolate fondue. yay! during lunch i got a call to interview for a part time job i applied for. if i get it, this will be my fourth job if you count the phone sex line i just signed up for. i'm totally reaching illegal immigrant status.

i forgot how much i hate the West 20's. i walked over to the baking store after lunch because i needed supplies for the cake i'm doing next month. it was miserably crowded with pedestrians and cars. but it wasn't half as miserable as getting stuck in the vestibule of my building afterwards with 20lbs of rolled fondant and a 3foot circular cake board. i just got a new key because the second door has been nothing but problems for a month. it worked perfectly for about a week, and now the door is rejecting it again. finally, after sweating bullets for ten minutes i picked the lock with my health insurance card. tonite, after i come home i'm going to try and dismantle the lock completely. that, or smash the glass.

free show at niagara's and then dollar drinks at hanger bar! anyone with a toolbox is welcome to come home with me.

11:56 am
last nite i went on a date with a hillbilly to watch him play hillbilly music at a hillbilly bar. we met on St Marks and he gave me a small bouquet of wildflowers. he had wrapped duct tape around the stems. then we used same duct tape to patch the broken window on his car. driving in brooklyn, he conversed with a car of thugs that stopped next to ours at a light. he gave them a slice of half eaten pizza that he had carried on his lap the entire car ride in hopes of finding a hungry bum. at the show he bought me PBRs and i ate a free hotdog while he played. i had to pass around the tip jar because i'm hot and people give more money that way. that's what they said.

tomorrow i'm going to the nyu dental school facility. i hope to get a rotting tooth pulled out of my head.
